#47- Stewarding Wealth as a Force for Good with Jake Knight

Wealth holders are facing immense pressure and projections, especially from those who don’t hold financial wealth but also from society at large. In this podcast we want to explore the prejudices around holding wealth, the dark side of being privileged, and how we can transition wealth into a force for good.

Prejudices around Wealth

  • What’s the tension between being born financially privileged and the projections you received in your biography?
  • How did you learn to wrestle with all the projections?

The Realities of the Human Experience

  • Money doesn’t equal happiness.
  • There’s a lot of confusion we experience as children. Because, what we need is to be seen, heard and understood. And that gets lost, because wrongfully assumed, many think we don’t need that because we got money.

Dark Sides of Privilege

  • For those of the listeners who have a lot of ideas, many of them mainly prejudices around wealth, what are the dark sides of being privileged that you feel like sharing?
  • There is not that one wonder pill – there’s a lifelong journey to heal. How does this especially relate to your own background and those of your peers?

Your purpose

  • As there are quite some organizations (like i.e. NEXUS) with next generation wealth holders out there, why did you found Enclave?
  • What makes this container different as you aim to create a safe space, to create the conditions for others to heal, grow up, and show up?
  • What does that have to do with your own journey of understanding yourself and healing your trauma?

Your Legacy

  • What’s the biggest impact you can imagine you can help birth and bring forward in the next 20 years?
  • How do your roles change the way you show up in the world as a father, son, community member and leader, investor?
